Match Play 21
Match Play 21 is a version of blackjack played with 8 decks of cards. This game (in addition to using more decks) also offers a bonus bet. Also, the decks use are not full decks as all the tens have been removed. This adds an interesting twist to the game. Try it out for yourself and you’ll quickly understand what it’s so popular!
How to Play Match Play 21 Blackjack
The rules remain true to the Standard Blackjack Rules with a few changes. As in any blackjack game you must first place your bets. In this variation you can play with insurance, double down and split cards as in the regular version. It’s a bit more difficult to get a natural blackjack hand in this game as there are no tens so a natural 21 is limited to an ace and a face card only.
Match Play 21 Blackjack Rules
The differences between Match Play 21 and regular blackjack make it so this game offers an added challenge to players who are seeking a change from the regular game. The differences are mainly in the odds and payout structure as there are no tens in the decks. Because the dealer and the player have the same ground rules, it doesn’t give the house any added advantage, it just makes the game bit more spicy! Winning hands pay 2:1 on the first hand only. Certain hands pay out 3:1 including three 7s of Spades, a 6,7, and 8 of Spades and 7 cards in a hand that happen to equal 21. Hands with a 2:1 payout are three 7s in suit, a 6, 7, and 8 in suit, and 6 cards that happen to equal 21. A 3:2 payout is given for any 3 7’s, any 6, 7, and 8 combo and 5 cards that happen to equal 21.
