How to Play Pontoon
Bet: Click on the chips to place a bet. Bet from $2 to $250 per hand.Deal: After placing a bet, click on 'Deal'. Both the dealer and the player are dealt two cards per hand. The player's cards are dealt face up, while the Dealer is dealt one card face up and another card face down.
Card Values: Number cards carry their face value (2 -10) and Jacks, Queens and Kings are worth 10. You can count an Ace as either one point or 11 points.
In Pontoon, there are different types of winning hands to be aware of:
Pontoon: An Ace and any 10 point card (like a blackjack) Five Card Trick: Any five card hand that doesn’t go over 21.
Player's Turn
Once the player and dealer are both dealt their initial cards, it's time for the player to begin the action.Stand: Choose this option if he/she wishes to stand with the cards they have.
Hit:The add an additional card to your hand.
Double: The player can choose to take one single additional hit and double the amount of his/her bet.
Split: If the player is issued two cards of equal value, he/she can choose to split the cards into two hands by doubling the amount of the bet.
Dealer's Turn
After you play your cards, the Dealer reveals his cards. Depending on the hand, they will opt to hit or stand based on a series of rules that the Dealer must follow:You Win when
- You get a Pontoon.
- Your hand is closer to 21 points than the Dealer's hand, without going over.
- If the Dealer busts (exceed 21) and you do not.
