5 Slot Machine Strategy Tips You Didn’t Know Existed

By on

We all believe that slot machines, one of the most popular casino games, are purely based on luck and nothing else. While this is quite near to truth there are still some ways using which you can improve your chances at winning that eye-catching jackpot on the slot machine. Today we’re going to touch on the 5 online slot machine strategies you never knew existed. They’re fairly basic and really easy to understand.

5. Have a Betting Pattern – Have Control over Your Bankroll

Let us start off by establishing a certain pattern for your bets. Consider starting with the lowest available bet. When you have lost several spins or hands, you should increase it by one; if you win, decrease it by one. While this strategy does not guarantee winning, it is a good way to have control over your bankroll and not to lose everything at once. Keep in mind that in the end it is the bankroll that is important.

4. Jackpots – Bigger Isn’t Always Better

In many casinos, the bigger 6-or-7-figure jackpots seem almost unattainable. On the other hand, you’ll see the smaller jackpot slots pay out more frequently. On huge progressive jackpot slots, a good chunk of each bet goes to feed the dedicated jackpot, but the potential payout is also ridiculously large. So if you want to win more for less playing slot machine with larger jackpots is also an option.

3. Know the Payouts!

Slot machines that are based on reels have variant programming, meaning that the payout percentage may vary above and below its standard payout percentage. For example, if you are playing on a machine with a payout rate of 95% at times it might pay out 93% or 97%.

2. Weighing Your Chances

Always think of the probability and what your chances of winning are. For example, let’s say the machine you are playing on has 3 reels, each with 10 stops and a symbol on each of them is for the jackpot; If this is the case, three jackpot symbols would line up, on the average, once every 10310310 pulls, or 1,000 pulls. Weighing your chances, gives you more control over the game play.

1. Never Get Attached!

Never ever pick a favorite slot machine! If you get used to playing on one and the same machine each time you visit a casino because it treats you well, that might cause you some trouble. If it starts treating you bad, you might hesitate on giving it up and changing slot machines frequently is one of the primary strategies for gamblers. The basic rule is to keep going if you are breaking even and change machines if you are not.

Of course, the majority still depends on luck and probability, but generating a certain strategy can truly make some difference on the final outcome.

i like to confuse a slot machine. we know casinos expect the average player to insert a twenty. i insert a five or a ten. we know casinos expect you to play the same bet, for a considerable amount of time, and that most will start out with a decent sized bet. i feel the first several spins of a slot machine are ‘throw away’ spins, therefore, i bet low in the beginning. every machine seems to need to be warmed up, even machines that have just been played. yes, every once in a long while, that first spin or one shortly thereafter, will give you the bonus or another spin of opportunity. but these first spins are much rarer, therefore you save more money in the long run by starting out low. if you have gotten more wins while betting down, than when you’ve bet up.. return to betting low. it’s better to get something than nothing. if you’re betting down, know your machine. some machines aren’t worth betting down. and some are only worth betting down if you know what combination to bet. on one machine, if i’m betting down.. i know that betting the 30 cent option is no better, on average, than betting the 20 cent option. so why risk the extra 10 cents. i know if i can’t afford to play a certain machine, not to play it as far down as i can afford. for example the stinkin rich. i can only afford to bet a quarter. a quarter won’t give me anything, so i pass that machine up. i have learned on some of the 30 cent max line machines, where you can’t bet any less, 30 cents won’t give me the win i want. no matter how many similar symbols i get.. even filling the screen.. i will not be happy with my outcome. i learned thru being a daily player, that machines can stay cold for weeks. i learned not to have a favorite machine, because those machines you stay on, beyond a reasonable amount of time, when not obtaining a win. though i don’t like staying on a machine that gives one loss after another, i have learned that the very next spin could give me a good winning combination, so i make sure to never lower my bet at the end of my play on a machine.

Upon arriving at the casino, get as many small bills as your money allows. Every time you put a $5 or $10 in, play with it like it’s your last. When you are fortunate enough to get you winnings up, raise your bet. If you see that you winning are disappearing, lower your bet. Works great for me. The last 7 times that I have gone to the casino, I have left with at least $1000. I never take more than $200 Sometimes I have as little as $50.

I’ve walked into the casino the past 2 months WITH NOTHING 0$ and walked out with 100-200$ multiple times off of FREE COMPS they send, I have NO money and am making money out of thin air. Some days 80$ some 25$ but getting 280$ a month to gamble for free (because of my play in Dec,Jan) is AWESOME! Love me some casino’s!!!!!!!!!

I walk in with $60.00 and usually can double my money or more. I lose the $60.00 I walk out and return the next month. This assures minimal loses and at $60.00 once a month I’m not worried about recovering any loses although it is not hard to recover $60.00 I see it as entertainment money that I can well afford to lose.

Any trips I go on do not include a casino or any gambling place.
The only place I go to is a race track about half an hour from me and it’s easy to leave because it’s not a long ride home.

There was a time when I was foolish and would visit a couple times a month and lose $300.00 but I had to make changes and decided that if I can’t win with $60.00 I’m not winning with $300.00 either.

I move from machine to machine , and I don’t sit down because I’m not going to be there for long if I’m not seeing any action , plus the seats on many of the machines stink and I guess they don’t wipe them down that often.

Many people using the bathrooms are not washing their hands so something to be aware of and make sure when your playing all those slots to be conscious of not rubbing your eyes or face , and make sure to wash hands when you leave.
