Search for a surefire way to win at craps has become quite a challenge. There has to be some kind of craps strategy system that will help you bankrupt the dealers, right? After all, there should be a reason for so many casino players standing around such a small table for so long?

What’s the secret?!

Well, the truth is that there is a definite way to win at craps. And it involves a secret bet that’s not even listed on the craps table, but one that most casinos will let you play if you know about it. Read on to discover the secret bet, plus a number of other craps strategies designed to help you win more often at this mysterious casino game.

The Odds Bet – The one and only strategy

  • If you follow only one craps strategy, make sure it’s this one. As soon at the Pass line bet point has been established, you’re free to make an extra bet behind your Pass Line bet.
  • It’s called an Odds bet and it doesn’t give the house any edge whatsoever.
  • You can double your original bet, so if you have $10 riding on the Pass Line, you can throw down another $20 behind it.
  • The payouts for an Odds Bet are 3:2 if the point is 5 or 9, 2:1 if the point is 4 or 10, and 6:5 if the point is 6 or 8.

Secret Bet - Odds Bet

Looking for something simpler?! – Pass Line Bets

  • You can ignore the above strategy if it seems to confusing, but stick to the Pass Line bets.
  • The payout for Pass Line bets is 1:1, meaning for every $1 in chips you bet, you’ll win $1 if your bet plays out.
  • Don’t get tricked! – the payout may seem low, but remember, the house edge for a Pass Line is only about 1.5%, and you’ve also got the chance to place an Odds Bet.
  • Consider throwing some Come and Don’t Come bets into the mix. Just like Pass Line bets, Come and Don’t Come bets yield a 1:1 payout with a lower house edge.

Big 6 and Big 8 Bets

That means, while you’re not likely to win a massive amount of money if you make small bets, you’re more likely to hit your bet and win some cash. And racking up small wins, more often, is a better craps strategy than winning once and taking more frequent losses.

This is some really bad information and why the casinos keep making money off of craps players.

I’ve tried some of this tips myself, and I think they are not as bad as you portray them to be. Do you have better tips all of us craps players could use?

  • IsisKitsune

Personally I’ve never had luck with the pass line bets (except on the come out roll) so I stay away from the odds on those. I deal with the come bets and odds elsewhere.
I don’t see why they say stear clear of the 6/8 bets. Those numbers have the highest odds of being rolls (next to 7 of course) so I tend to at least throw something at those every now and then

Wow really? Stick to pass line bets with odds, play a few place bets and stay away from Big 6 and 8? That’s your big strategy? I call that a strategy for not throwing money away on stupid bets but as a “strategy” I find it a bit disappointing. Was hoping for something new here. Maybe there is nothing new :) So you hear that kiddies? Don’t fall for sucker bets like like the field or hard rolls. Stick to pass line and back your bets with odds, especially if it is a 6 or 8.

I just started to watch the video i heard something wrong already. 5 and 9 pay more than 6 and 8 the odds of a 6 or 8 is higher than 5 and 9.

How can you say it doesn’t give the house an edge? They want you to put the extra money down because there are now more numbers that can beat you than can’t. If the point is 10 then you’re stuck with a 3:6 disadvantage. I’m betting the donts all day long and raking in your money. Because 50% of something is better than 100% of nothing.
