Sitting home alone and don’t know what to do with yourself? Bored at work or just want to not do any work? We’ve all been in these situations before and we all have a way of dealing with them. My favorite thing to do when bored is play some card games for one. You can zone out and let the worries of work or other personal problems disappear for a bit and enjoy yourself.

These are some of my favorite card games for one that are easy to learn and fun to play.

Solitaire

This classic is one of the best card games to play by yourself. All you need is a deck of cards or you can even play it on your computer. There are different and rules and variations for these games though, make sure you are aware of the differences before you start playing.

Free Cell

Who doesn’t love to watch all the cards flicker up on the screen when you finish a game of Free Cell? It’s the simple things in life that keep us going.

Pyramid

This is a lesser known version of solitaire, but it’s one of the more fun games to play. It can be played online or if you know how to set it up, you just need a deck of cards. It’s easy to set up once you read the rules of the game.

There are numerous card games that you can play by yourself. Most are some form of solitaire, but all are fun. If you don’t have a deck of cards, you can play card game online for free on anyone one of thousands of sites that offer free games.
